FEATURED FUND: Arlene D. Barron Endowment Fund

Arlene Barron will retire at the end of February. As we near the end of her tenure as the Executive Director of the New Orleans Jewish Community Center, we invite you to join us in celebrating her service to our community with a donation in her honor to the newly established Arlene D. Barron Endowment Fund. This fund will be unveiled at the JCC Annual Meeting on February 20, 2011.

Beginning her career as the Older Adult Coordinator in 1981, Arlene spent the last 30 years making our community brighter. She is a dedicated communal professional and a superb administrator. Arlene's experience brought a standard of excellence to practices across all departments and led the JCC to unparalleled success.

In her first days as Executive Director, Arlene recognized the importance of a strong endowment and made its establishment a top priority. Her unwavering dedication and incomparable guidance worked to reinforce the idea that the JCC should and will continue to hold its place as the center of Jewish life in our community. Arlene spent her professional life helping to create an agency with fiscal stability; now it is our turn to help ensure a long, prosperous future for the JCC that she holds so dear.
