About Sports Camp
Sports Camp at the JCC includes programs designed for children with a dynamic interest in sports and physical fitness. Appropriate for all skill levels, Sports Camp is a great avenue to fine tune one’s athletic ability. Campers will face, and eventually rise to meet, physical and mental challenges within the context of sports. With skill-appropriate programs designed to increase skill level and self-esteem, your child will “have a ball” with JCC Sports Camp.
Sports Camp
Sports camp will expose each camper to fun and sportsmanlike play in both team and individual scenarios. The summer-long emphasis on playing the “right way,” will concentrate on sportsmanship, fundamentals, rules, hustle, positive attitude and the ability and willingness to listen and learn. Campers will participate in basketball, baseball, football and soccer, as well as kickball, “street golf ” and other games designed to promote cooperation, patience and teamwork. Campers will swim daily in the large outdoor pool, alternating between free-swim and American Red Cross instructional swim lessons. Sports Camp campers will take part in one overnight at the JCC per 4-week session. Our exciting field trips include a Zephyrs game and a daytrip to Blue Bayou Waterpark.

Early Morning Care & Second Home/Kids Konnection
Campers wake up and wind down with age-appropriate books, toys, arts and crafts, and indoor and outdoor play. An afternoon snack is provided.Monday - Friday | Ages: 3 - 7

The JCC Policy is to not take responsibility for your child before 7:30 AM or after 5:30 PM on Monday – Friday. If your child stays late, there is a $1.00 per minute late fee payable directly to the staff member who must stay with your child. This applies to Second Home, Kids Konnection, and the game room. Please arrive on time!
Game room campers ages 8 and older may use the adult-supervised game room free of charge during aftercare hours. However, we ask that you please indicate this on your registration form to avoid confusion. Campers in the game room are given the option to “check out” and use the swimming pool facilities. Please indicate permission on the registration form for your camper to gain access to this area.
