New Orleans Parents’ Club

NOPCParents of young children are invited to join the New Orleans Parents' Club (NOPC), an innovative opportunity to socialize with other parents while learning positive parenting techniques that will help guide parents through the everyday joys and challenges of parenthood.

Location: New Orleans JCC - Uptown
Fee:  $100 for 21 sessions/ $10 drop in rate. Your first session is FREE!
Sliding fee scale available upon request, based upon household income.

About Parents Club

Sessions are facilitated by Dr. Dahlia Topolosky, a licensed psychologist, and other professional child specialists. Topics focuse on positive parenting techniques and address ways to build your children’s self-esteem and encourage a healthy nurturing family environment. Light refreshments will be served and your child is welcome to play beside you in our warm, kid-friendly space. 

 

DahliaDr. Dahlia Topolosky is a licensed psychologist who earned her Psy.D. from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in  New York where she had dual training in school and clinical psychology. Prior to moving to New Orleans, she worked in inpatient and outpatient settings and was the psychologist at the Horace Mann Lower School in NY. After moving to the NOLA area, she worked at Mercy Family Center, child/adolescent clinic in Metairie. Dr. Topolosky is currently in private practice at the Family Behavioral Health center where she conducts psycho-educational evaluations to asses for ADHD, Learning Disorders, Spectrum Disorders, and other Behavioral/Psychological Disorders.  She uses a combination of psycho-dynamic, cognitive behavioral, and other evidence-based approaches to treat children, adolescents, and families who struggle with a variety of emotional/behavioral issues including ADHD, Spectrum Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Depression/Anxiety, Stress, and Trauma.  In addition, she works with parents individually and in group settings to teach effective parenting skills and improve child-parent relationships.  Dr. Topolosky's interestsinclude singing, playing guitar and drums, and mostly spending time with her husband and 3 children.
